Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Plus gains a total of ten additional features on the outside as well as inside; no powertrain changes made
Maruti Suzuki has the Alto entry-level small hatchback as its bestselling product in the whole of Indian auto industry for years now. Although the popularity of the Alto is kept intact among first-time car buyers and budget conscious customers amidst the arrival of modern rivals like the Renault Kwid and Tata Tiago, Maruti continues to roll out special editions in order to provoke more people into buying this pocket rocket.
The Indo-Japanese brand has recently introduced a limited edition Plus version of the Alto K10 and is available to buy at a price of Rs. 3.40 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Compared to the standard K10, Maruti Suzuki has listed ten additional features to proffer the Plus edition a unique status.

The new design elements enhancing the overall appeal on the outside are roof-integrated spoiler, chrome belt-line on the windows, black moulding on the side profile, chrome garnished fog lamp housing, chrome accented wheel arches, body coloured door handles and body coloured Outside Rear View Mirrors.
Other inclusions benefiting the interior are piano finished stereo system, power operated front windows and a central locking system alongside reverse parking sensor that will be of immense help in congested parking spaces. Apart from the new additions, the conventional cabin and compact exterior profile replicate the standard Alto K10.

As the Alto K10 Plus being a minor visual update, no changes have been intended on the powertrain front. The K10 Plus continue to take power from the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 67 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm.
The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard while shelling out extra bucks will allow you to own the five-speed automatic version that has the same fuel economy as the manual at 24.07 kmpl. If that mileage is not enough, the Alto K10 is also available in CNG with the power produced reduces to 58 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 78 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm in favour 32.26 kmpl fuel consumption as certified by ARAI. The standard Alto K10 currently ranges between Rs. 3.27 lakh and Rs. 4.13 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
