Maruti Super Carry Sales Begin in Gujarat

Maruti Super Carry sales has begun in Gujarat; it is the first ever Light Commercial vehicle from the Indo-Japanese manufacturer

India’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki begins sales of its first ever light commercial vehicle Super Carry in Gujarat. The vehicle is retailed through Maruti Suzuki’s exclusive commercial vehicle sales channel. The light commercial vehicle market in India is booming fast, and Maruti Suzuki being the largest car maker in the country couldn’t afford to stay back from the segment.

The Maruti Suzuki Super carry gets power from a small but powerful 793 cc diesel engine which is mated to a five speed manual transmission and churns out 24 kW peak power at 3,500 rpm and 75 Nm of peak torque at 2,000 rpm. It also offers an impressive 22.07 kmpl of fuel economy.

Maruti Suzuki claims, the Super Carry comes with higher performance and superior load capacity. On paper, it gets a 3.25 square meter loading deck, which can carry a 740 kilogram of payload. The vehicle is equipped with lighter steering wheel, giving the driver convenient and comfortable driving experience alongside the smoother gear shifting.

On the suspension front the Super Carry LCV is equipped with McPherson strut suspension, while on the braking front it features disc brakes at front wheels with LSPV braking system ensuring better stability during braking even with the fullest load. Turning radius for the vehicle is 4.3 meter. Also, the chassis of the Super Carry is built with rust resistant galvanized steel.

Maruti Suzuki plans to expand its commercial vehicle selling network up to 50 dealerships by the end of 2016 across the country. The company has already launched more than Rs. 300 crore in development of the Super carry. The vehicle has been launched in some overseas markets as well before launching in the country. Available in two different colours Superior White and Silky Silver the vehicle is priced at Rs. 4,03,000 (ex showroom, Ahmedabad).
