Maruti Suzuki officially introduced the S-Cross facelift model last year and since then sales have been rising steadily. The S-Cross received a mild-update last month as the company has added some new features to make the crossover more appeal to people. Now the company is offering a special discount on S-Cross Smart Hybrid in September and heavy floods in Kerla could be the reason behind these discounts.

The S-Cross comes with Rs. 15,000 as exchange bonus, Rs. 10,000 as cash discount and Rs. 7000 as a corporate discount. The total discount for the S-Cross is Rs. 32,000 and this offer is available across the country through Nexa dealerships.

The crossover gets features like Speed Alert System (SAS) and the company has already introduced this feature on Ciaz and Vitara Brezza also. When speed cross 80 kph, SAS system comes into action with a beep every minute and at speeds of 120 kph, this system will continue to beep without stopping as customers won’t be able to turn it off.

The company has also added Rear Parking Assist Sensors and Passenger Seat Belt Reminder as standard across the range. The mid-Delta variant now comes with lot more features like keyless entry with push-button start, cruise control, alloy wheels, rear wash and wiper, cruise control, climate control and electrically foldable OVRMs.

The top end variant of S-Cross comes with touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, projector headlamps with DRLs, rain sensing wipers, leather seats and more. Maruti Suzuki has also focused on safety as S-Cross comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and ISOFIX points as standard.

The S-Cross is powered by 1.3 L DDiS engine producing 89 bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. This engine is mated to 5-speed manual gearbox and the hybrid technology helps S-Cross to return 25.1 kmpl. Maruti will soon introduce a new 1.5 L petrol engine on S-Cross.
