The modified Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been fitted with a Brabus G-Class kit and it looks like a downsized Mercedes G-Wagon

Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a very modification-friendly car and we have already seen multiple new concepts, both abroad as well as in India. One of the most popular modifications is the conversion of Jimny into a Mercedes G-Class lookalike. While we have come across multiple such conversions, this latest all-black Jimny conversion looks very real and gives us an idea of how a compact version of G-Class would look in real life. Let’s have a look at the modification carried out in the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

To begin with, the front profile is certainly the best angle to look at the SUV and makes it hard to differentiate from the original G-Class, at least in pictures. The Brabus branded front grille, round LED headlamps, muscular clamshell hood, top-mounted indicators and the aggressive squared-off front bumper are the highlights which give it the appeal of a G-Class.

Towards the sides, the SUV gets massive 20-inch multi-spoke all-black alloy wheels with red brake callipers and a Mercedes three-pointed star logo hub cap. In addition to this, the Jimny gets a new front and rear fender with wide-body wheel arches and these are going quite well with the wide wheels. These squared-off protruding wheel arches also get a sort of fake air dam treatment for added sporty appeal. The rear profile gets a new spare wheel cover with the Brabus lettering and a G-Class-inspired rear bumper fitted with aftermarket tail lights.

To further up the ante of this converted G-Class, the modifier has also added a roof top mounted LED lighting strip which is a stand-out element in Brabus G-Class. While the exterior design has got plenty of changes, the interiors remain more or less the same. However, the new red-white treatment gives it a funky vibe but it’s not as exciting as the exterior design changes.

We also get the G-Class-inspired AC vents, the only new addition inside the cabin. Also, this new colour combination will not go well with everyone and we would have liked an all-black sporty theme for the interiors as well. Since modification is a matter of personal preference and customers have their own set of choices.

Apart from this, there are no changes to the mechanicals. So, despite its G-Class-like styling, the modified Jimny continues to draw power from the familiar 1.5 litre K15B petrol engine putting out 103 bhp and 134 Nm of peak torque.
