Maruti Ignis to Get CVT and the steering wheel will be brand new unlike those installed in the current models

The Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be sold through the exclusive premium Nexa outlets across the country. It will join the S-Cross crossover and Baleno hatchback in those dealerships to highlight its premium nature while a long list of features are expected to be offered at the launch.

The biggest rumour emerged on the internet thanks to Autocar India is that the Ignis compact crossover will have a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic instead of the initially predicted AMT. Powering the Ignis will be the tuned version of 1.2-litre K series petrol motor that is found under the bonnet of Swift and the Baleno. In addition to that the DDiS diesel motor of 1.3-litre displacement capacity will also be employed.
