Ciaz Hybrid to be launched early next month, Ertiga SHVS Hybrid Diesel to follow

Early this month, We reported that Maruti Suzuki is all set to bring Ciaz SHVS Hybrid in India very soon that is scheduled for launch in the first week of September. Now, a report on web suggest that Maruti Ertiga Diesel to launch in SHVS Hybrid only. Maruti Ertiga SHVS Hybrid is scheduled to launch in 3rd week of October.

Maruti Ertiga SHVS Hybrid is expected to deliver the mileage above 25.2 Kmpl and likely to be priced 25K-30K above the current variant. It also expected that Maruti Ertiga Facelift to get Driver Airbag as standard across all variants and ABS will be optional from base variant.

Suzuki’s SHVS Hybrid technology is competely imported and costly as well, but the government is giving incentives and charging lower excise duty of 12.5% under the Electric & Hybrid vehicle policy of Fame. Maruti Suzuki is utilizing this incentive to lowering the ex-showroom price of upcoming SHVS Hybrid vehicles. Maruti Ertiga SHVS Hybrid will be a game changer could become India’s No.1 Selling MPV. As of Now, Toyota Innova is India’s top-selling MPV and Ertiga is next in the line.

Maruti Ertiga SHVS Hybrid will not just get idle-stop-start system, but it will receive a mild hybrid system with electric motors and batteries. Maruti Ertiga SHVS Hybrid will deliver better mileage due to the electric motor and generator under the hood. The Mild Hybrid system with the Integrated Starter Generator will be used most of the time, while starter motor is used only once and hence engine is relived of the load it carries.
