As we spied last month and confirmed about the Maruti Suzuki Celerio Diesel by last week of April, we bring to you the latest update with respect to the Celerio Diesel Launch. As per the relevant sources, the Maruti Celerio Diesel launch is likely to be delayed to June mid instead of April end.
Maruti Suzuki currently, is only manufacturing 3-4 units of its Celerio diesel per day as it currently on manufacturing trial and as per reports, from last one and a half months; the company is only build 250+ Celerio Diesel cars.
This news gives us the surety that the delay is perhaps going to take place. Once launched, the company is going to offer the new 793 cc two-cylinder engine to power its Celerio diesel variant. It is going to produce around 52-58 hp of power with 150-160 NM of torque. Without any change in its styling, the company has blindly followed the petrol variant of the Celerio with respect to the styles and design cues in its diesel one.
Price is expected to be somewhere between 4.9-5.7 lakhs and with the mileage of around 30.1 km/l, the Celerio Diesel variant is going to become the most fuel-efficient car in the country. This will make the third model from the Maruti Suzuki lineup, which will gain the trust of the customers in becoming the most fuel, efficient one, after 2015 Swift Dzire Facelift and Maruti Ciaz diesel model.
When rolls on the Indian roads, the Celerio diesel is going to strongly compete with the Chevrolet Beat diesel and the upcoming Tata Kite Small hatchback model. Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch Celerio AMT in Zxi variant however we have to wait n watch that is Maruti Suzuki will launch ZXi AMT before the Celerio diesel or with Celerio Diesel. In some recent launch, it seen that Maruti Suzuki launches Swift Dzire facelift & Swift facelift silently and could adopt the same strategy for Celerio Zxi AMT
