Maruti Suzuki all ready to launch the Celerio Diesel variant as Celerio DDis 125 on 3rd June in India. The diesel variants news has been revolving around the internet quite some time now, our folks at GaadiWaadi have managed to spy the Celerio DDis 125 many times which is now scheduled to launch next month. Earlier, Celerio Diesel was planned to launch in Dec 2014 but production stopped soon after some units produced, Second time we seen production re-started again in March 2015 but at tortoise speed with only 2-3 units per day manufactured.
Now, as per latest ICN report, Maruti Suzuki finalized the launch date as 3rd June but we are little unsure after past experiences on celerio diesel launch date details.

We at Gaadiwaadi.com publishing the images of Celerio diesel parked in the Manesar plants since November 2014 as these images comes as a proof of the production . In last week of April, we reported that Maruti Suzuki Start dispatching Cars but haven’t enough stock to go for immediate launch.
The Celerio Diesel to be project as Celerio DDis 125 will be using an all new 793CC two cylinder engine, with an expected output of 38-52HP at a torque of 125Nm (expected). Maruti will launch the Celerio Diesel with a manual transmission only , however the Automatic transmission is not too far from reality as the petrol version already has AMT.
The new diesel engine is expected to deliver a mileage close to 30 kmpl. If the figure turns out to be true, the Celerio diesel will become the most fuel-efficient car in the country even beating the recently launched Swift Dzire facelift (26.59 km/l) and Maruti Ciaz diesel (26.21 km/l).
With regards to the interior of the Celerio diesel variant, it will remains same as the earlier petrol version where you can expect the comfort & premium features in the top of the line ZDI(O) model. Celerio Diesel will launches against a cold selling Chevrolet Beat diesel, that is powered by 936cc Diesel engine and the upcoming Tata Kite Small Hatchback.
