Maruti Suzuki offers huge discounts for the entry-level Alto 800 hatchback this month; read below to know more details

Maruti Suzuki has the Alto range as its best-selling model for several years and even though the recent premium models have caught up, its sales consistency cannot be undermined. The largest automaker in the country did not endure the spike it usually does in monthly sales in September 2018, as overall volume figures, both domestic and export, registered a slight de-growth of 0.5 percent.

The company sold 1,62,290 units last month when compared to 1,63,071 units in the same month in 2017. The minor drop in sales was due to the difficulties faced by entry-level hatchbacks such as the Alto 800, Alto K10 and Wagon R – leading to a sales decrease of 1.4 percent in passenger vehicle market. Maruti Suzuki retailed 1,15,228 units in the concluded month in comparison to 1,16,886 units in September 2017.

During the festive season, carmakers traditionally record higher sales due to the positive sentiment among buyers across the country and to make the offering more attractive, discounts and benefits are thrown in the way to appease them. Maruti Suzuki is no stranger to that and the base variant of Alto with ex-showroom price of Rs. 2.69 lakh is treated with a number of offers.

It gets cash discount of Rs. 15,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000 along with Rs. 10,000 worth gold coin. Dealers will also give cash benefit of Rs. 10,000 instead of the gold coin. If your old car is under seven years, you will get full exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000 and in other case, the exchange benefit is quoted at Rs. 20,000 instead.
