Mahindra XUV400 Launching Soon – Expected Price, Delivery Details

The new Mahindra XUV400 is currently the fastest made-in-India electric car and will give strong competition to the rivals like the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV

Mahindra recently revealed the Mahindra XUV400 EV in the country for buyers looking for a powerful and practical electric SUV in the market. The brand will soon be launching the new XUV400 EV next month and will soon be starting with the test drives of this new SUV.

The deliveries however are expected to start in February and March 2023. For starters, the new Mahindra XUV400 EV will be offered in three variants – Base, EP and EL. The price of the SUV is likely to start from Rs 17-18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the brand will be positioning it as a direct rival to the electric SUVs like the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV in the Indian market.

The brand claims a promised 0-100 kmph timing of 8.3 seconds for the XUV400 EV while the top speed on the other hand is restricted to 150 kmph. The new XUV400 EV is offered with a 39.5 kWh battery pack with state-of-the-art Li-ion cells.

This battery pack powers a single motor powertrain setup with a claimed maximum power and torque output of 148 bhp and 310 Nm respectively. The claimed range on a single charge on the other hand stands at 456 km. Needless to say, the SUV supports multiple charging options including a standard 3.3kW/16A home charger, 7.2kW/32A fast charger and DC fast charger.

For those wondering, the SUV takes just 50 minutes to charge via DC fast charger while the home charger will take around 13 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 80 per cent. Having said this, the new Mahindra XUV400 EV gets three driving modes – Fun, Fast, and Fearless.

It also gets a long list of features including Adreno X software support, single-pane sunroof, connected car tech, automatic climate control, push-button start, and more in addition to many safety features such as six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX anchorages.
