The modified Mahindra Thar gets a custom front grille, new hardtop roof, chunky tyres and revised bumpers
Mahindra Thar is known as the true blue off-roader from the homegrown experience SUV manufacturer. While this SUV comes with undoubtedly fabulous off-roading capability the visual appeal is certainly not that much. There come the customisation shops that give the stock cars an extra ordinary look. Here we have a customised Mahindra Thar that has been transformed into a Jeep Wrangler with heavy modifications.
This custom Mahindra Thar has received extensive modifications all around the body. Up front, it gets a vertically slated aggressive front grille flanked by round LED projector headlamps that certainly make it a Wrangler lookalike. The front bumper too has been revised and it comes with fog lamps. The hood too arrives with slight tweak.

Moving to the side profile, the customised SUV features flared fenders, 33-inch Maxxis big horn 764 tyres wrapped around black Brazilian style steel wheels that help the SUV to run on rough terrains easily with strong grip. Apart from that, it also gets metal footrest, Wrangler side mirrors. It boasts a hardtop roof with toughened glasses.
Rear profile of the car gets a reinforced tailgate along with a spare wheel mounted at the centre and there is an updated rear bumper as well. Apart from that, the vertically positioned LED taillights enhance its style further. The SUV comes wearing a high quality matte black painting and Jeep badge at the front fender. Overall, the entire SUV looks very stylish and appealing with its modified guise.

The Jeep Studio that has modified this Mahindra Thar claims that mechanically the car remains same. Mahindra Thar is powered by a 2.5-litre CRDe Diesel capable of churning out 105 bhp of peak power and 247 Nm of peak torque. Currently, Mahindra is working on a new generation Thar that is expected to arrive in the domestic market soon and it would sport a revised exterior design and boast more premiumness compared to the current model.
