In the run up to the festive season, Mahindra is offering some fantastic discounts on almost all its models, including the XUV500, Scorpio, Thar, Marazzo and Bolero
While it’s common for most car manufacturers to start offering some lucrative discounts around this time of the year in the run up to the festive season, what makes the current year different is that our auto sector is going through a terrible sales slowdown.
What this means is that the companies are trying twice as hard to make you sign the dotted line and drive home a model from their lineups. Basically, the consumer surely benefits as he can get some great discounts on his purchase. In line with all this, Mahindra, the home-grown UV-maker, is offering some fantastic discounts on almost all its cars, including the XUV500, Scorpio, Thar, Marazzo and Bolero. Here are the details –
1. Mahindra KUV100
Exactly a year ago, in September 2018, the smallest vehicle in the company’s lineup was available with a cash discount of Rs 40,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000 and a corporate bonus of Rs 4,000.
This month, however, you can get a cash discount of Rs 35,000, exchange bonus of Rs 29,000, corporate discount of Rs 4,000 and free accessories worth Rs 5,000. Basically, you get additional benefits worth Rs 9,000 as compared to last year.
2. Mahindra TUV300
The Mahindra TUV300 is not anywhere as sophisticated as the company’s own XUV300 but has the kind of ruggedness and simple construction that no other sub-4-metre SUV can match. Last year, it was available with a cash discount of Rs 35,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 5,000.
This year, however, it’s on sale with a cash discount of Rs 52,000, exchange bonus of Rs 14,000, corporate bonus of Rs 4,500 and free accessories worth Rs 5,000. This results into additional benefits worth Rs 35,500.
3. Mahindra TUV300 Plus
Even the larger version of the Mahindra TUV300 is available with additional discounts. Last September, the buyers benefited from cash discount worth Rs 20,000, exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and corporate discount of Rs 25,000.
This year, however, it’s available with cash discount of Rs 35,000, exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and corporate discount of Rs 5,000. Also, buyers get free accessories worth Rs 5,000. This results into additional savings of Rs 20,000.

4. Mahindra Bolero Power Plus
Last September, the rugged UV was available with a cash discount of Rs 7,000, exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 and a corporate bonus of Rs 5,000. In September 2019, however, the Bolero Power Plus is on sale with a cash discount of Rs 11,500, exchange bonus of Rs 10,000, corporate discount of Rs 4,000 and free accessories worth Rs 3,500. This leads to additional benefits worth Rs 7,000.
5. Mahindra Thar ABS and XUV300
The Mahindra Thar ABS is currently available with a cash discount of Rs 9,000 and free accessories worth Rs 4,000. On the other hand, the Hyundai Venue-rivalling Mahindra XUV300 is on sale with an exchange bonus worth Rs 15,000. Both these vehicles were not available in September 2018 and hence, we can’t offer a comparison of the discounts.
6. Mahindra Marazzo
In September 2018, the M2 and M4 variants of the Mahindra Marazzo were on sale with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000. In September 2019, however, buyers get an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 7,000.
Even the M6 and M8 variants were available only with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 in September 2018 but this year, for the month of September, you get many more benefits in the form of free 1st year insurance, exchange bonus worth Rs 40,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 7,000.
7. Mahindra Scorpio
The Mahindra Scorpio has been one of the most successful models of its carmakers. In September last year, the SUV was available with a cash discount of Rs 43,000, exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,500. On the other hand, the SUV is currently available with a cash discount of Rs 20,000, exchange bonus worth Rs 25,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000.
Additionally, the buyers even benefit from free accessories worth Rs 10,000. While the overall benefits don’t sound as lucrative as those offered in September last year, they do result in some decent savings and should benefit the buyers of the highly popular SUV.
8. Mahindra XUV500
Like the Scorpio, the Mahindra XUV500 has been one of the most successful models from its carmaker. While the present generation of the SUV is in the last leg of its career, it is still a favourite of many SUV buyers.
said, the fast-ageing SUV has surely faced a lot of heat from the advent of fresh rivals, such as the MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Kia Seltos. Hence, in order to conserve the demand of its popular model, the carmaker is offering better discounts than what it offered in September 2018.
Last year, the XUV500 was on sale with no cash discount, an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 10,000. On the other hand, this year, the XUV500 is being sold with some hefty discounts in the form of cash offer worth Rs 26,000, exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and a corporate discount of Rs 9,000. You also get free accessories worth Rs 10,000. This results into additional savings worth Rs 35,000.
