The largest SUV manufacturer in the country, Mahindra and Mahindra, has launched the special edition version of the Scorpio called the Scorpio Adventure in India. Price for the model starts from Rs. 13.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and Rs. 13.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The limited edition is based on the S10 top-of-the-range grade in the new generation Scorpio SUV and comes available with a host of added accessories, embellished styling features and much more. The company has revealed that only 1,000 vehicles of this special edition model will be rolled off the production lines to underline its exclusivity.

Since the Scorpio Adventure comes out of the S10 trim, the same level of packed features has been derived for the limited edition SUV as well. There are number of features said to be offered for the very first time in Scorpio alongside refreshed equipment list. The most notable features in the Scorpio Adventure are Gun Metal alloy wheels for a macho stance, Outside Rear View Mirrors with turn indicators to enhance premium ability, quirky smoked tail lamps that stand in-line with the SUV’s already perceived bragging-rights look.

The adventure themed dual-tone colour scheme comprises of Mist Silver and White paint job with similar decals while the brake calipers are painted red. Other than these visual changes, the limited edition version looks just as identical to the standard Scorpio SUV. Going to the inside, Mahindra and Mahindra has performed modifications to make the Adventure edition really appealing.

The updated cabin now receives faux leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, faux leather seats with contrast blue fabric stitching, Adventure badging on the dashboard alongside the addition of rear view camera and triple-jet windshield washer. The features list in the S10 range-topper has been carried over which contains dual airbags, automatic climate control system, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and so on.

The Mahindra Scorpio Adventure special edition will be available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations but the transmission duties will be done only by the five-speed manual gearbox. It comes powered by the usual 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 120 bhp of power and 280 Nm of peak torque. For the Delhi-NCR region, the exclusively developed 1.99-litre mHawk diesel motor with the same power and torque figures will be found under the bonnet of the Scorpio Adventure.
