Mahindra Ventures Into Road Construction Equipment Segment

Mahindra RoadMaster G75 Launched In India

Mahindra RoadMaster G75 has been launched with a DiTEC engine making 79 horsepower; the motor grader is offered with 1 year and unlimited hours warranty

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has today announced that it is stepping foot into road construction equipment sector on the back of sales growth in the passenger as well as commercial vehicle segments. The Indian conglomerate has introduced the RoadMaster G75 – the brand’s first Motor Grader. Focussed on the entire road constructors fraternity, the RoadMaster is endorsed to be the ideal machine for spreading and grading applications.

It caters to a number of needs and is a versatile offering. It will adhere to road constructors’ grading requirements for various purposes on big, medium and small scale. For example, it will be highly useful for government’s flagship programs like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yognaand Smart City while meeting the needs for major district roads, border and rural roads as well as the process of road expansions.

The Mahindra RoadMaster G75 gets power from a in-house developed DiTEC engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 79 hp. The engine is coupled with a 3 metre or 10 feet wide blade and is stated to have been optimised for ‘zero compromise grading’ at 33 percent when compared to the traditional motor graders. For the ease of ownership, Mahindra will be providing a one year and unlimited hours warranty, to curtail the expenses on repairs.

Mahindra claims that this has been made possible by the engineering and manufacturing capability of the brand along with sourcing of best components from suppliers and a gruel test regime for product perfection. The company has put the RoadMaster G75 under rigorous testing schedule of 6,000 hours in different landscapes and terrain conditions.

During the testing, it was validated on reliability, performance and safety parameters. It is claimed to have unmatched quality and operator comfort while the sales and service network spread across the country will assist in any needed support for customers. Priced at Rs. 34.99 lakh, Mahindra targets selling 200 units over the period of next one year and has already received orders for 50 RoadMaster G75s.
