The new Scorpio N and the XUV700 are two of the best-selling SUVs in the brand’s line-up

Mahindra and Mahindra continue to register strong growth in the Indian market and had an extremely successful and profitable business this year. The brand also recorded the highest-ever bookings in the country and continues to dominate the SUV sales volume in the Indian market. Having said this, here are all the details you need to know about the Mahindra bookings and waiting period in India this year.

To start with, the brand launched many new offerings in the country including the new Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic and the new XUV300 TurboSport in market while the SUVs like the Thar and the XUV700 too continue to attract buyers with their powerful, capable and practical setup.

While the brand is still struggling due to the semiconductor shortage, it continues to work on reducing the waiting period of the SUVs by not only running the plant at maximum capacity but by also improving the part supply and logistics. It is also working on creating an alternative chip supply network.

Mahindra earlier shared that it will soon be increasing the production to 39,000 and 49,000 per month by the end of 2023 and 2024 respectively as against 29,000 units per month in 2022. Having said this, the new Scorpio-N is one of the most booked SUVs in the market right now and is offered with two engine options – 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L diesel engine.

When compared to the previous iterations, the new Scorpio N boasts a more comfortable, refined, and a practical package for buyers. Mahindra is also gearing up to launch many new products in the country including the new XUV400 and the new Thar 2WD. The XUV400 is currently the fastest made-in-India SUV and is offered with a powerful and premium package.

The new Thar 2WD on the other hand is expected to challenge the entry-level variants of the upcoming Jimny 5-door and is likely to be offered only with manual gearbox options. More details however are yet to be known.
