The bespoke cabin looks and feels no less than any top end premium sedan interiors and is ideal for those who plan to be chauffeur driven
Mahindra recently launched the Marazzo MPV with quite aggressive prices. Although the standard MPV is loaded with plenty of features inside but Mahindra has decided to walk the extra mile and offer a customized version of the MPV with a bespoke interior designed by none other than the Dilip Chhabria of DC Designs.
The best thing is that the customized MPV will be made available through the official Mahindra dealerships and will feature plenty of customization option for a more premium cabin experience. To start things of the entire dashboard of the customized Marazzo gets premium faux wood panels with chrome inlays and faux-leather claddings.
To keep things premium the multifunctional steering wheel and the door pads too, gets faux wood and leather finish to it to match the dashboard design. DC designs have replaced the standard middle row seats with specially designed power seats finished in premium faux leather. The middle row seats, in particular, are fully automated seats with reclining function as you find in some premium offerings like the Mercedes S-Class.
The middle row passengers will benefit from an extra legroom, motorized foot-rest, and foldable seats and footrest. To activate all the function of the middle row seats there is a capacitive touchscreen in between both the seats. Some other luxury feature includes an Android TV, iPad and iPod housing, a 12-Volt charger and also a 7-liter fridge positioned inside the rear center console.
Besides these updates to the interior the car showcased did not get any exterior updates as we normally expect from DC designs style package. The customized model showcased was based on the top-spec M8 trim. The M8 trim of the Marazzo gets plenty of exterior features including a chrome grille, projector headlamps and LED daytime running lamps towards the front, the side profile receives 17-inch stylish alloys while the rear profile features LED tail lamps.
Under the hood, the Marazzo MPV is powered by the 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 121 bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox; unfortunately, there is no option of an automatic transmission yet.
Although Mahindra hasn’t shared the prices for the customized Marazzo yet with all the luxurious features inside we won’t be too surprised if it is priced 3-6 Lakhs more than the top spec M8 variant which is currently priced at Rs 13.90 lakh, ex-showroom.
