Mahindra Mojo Adventure concept was displayed at 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo; will be retailed through exclusive Mojo dealerships
Mahindra is ready to start production of the Mojo Adventure, which was displayed in its concept form at the 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo according to reports. The Mahindra Mojo Adventure will be sold through the brand’s exclusive Mojo dealerships. Also, the Mojo Adventure will offer the customers options to choose from the range of products.
Mahindra’s flagship product, the Mojo, has earned respect and positive response from the buyers across the country with its design, features and powerful performance. Now, inspired by the success of the Mojo, the automaker wants to offer the customers more unique products based on the Mojo. At the Delhi Auto Expo last year, the company showcased a scrambler and dirt bike concept based on the adventure tourer. Now if the Mojo Adventure is ready to hit production as reported, then it would give the Royal Enfield Himalayan tough competition.

The Mahindra Mojo Adventure concept was showcased as a pure off-roading model. It came with off-road focused tyres wrapped around multi-spoke wheels and the front wheel was larger. Also, the raised suspension of the model clearly hints towards its capability to take the challenge of rough roads.
If the production model comes bearing similarity to the concept, then we can expect it to appear with a new round shaped headlamp with bikini fairing, circular rear view mirrors, knuckle guars fitted to the handlebars and a 21-litre capacity large and muscular fuel tank. Expect it to come with tweaked suspension system to tackle the rough terrain challenge. For braking duty, it will come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels.

On the powertrain front, the Mahindra Mojo Adventure model will draw energy from the same 295 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of kicking out 27 PS of peak power at 8,000 rpm and 30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Expect the fuel efficiency to be close around the figure of the regular Mojo. The Mahindra Mojo is retailed at around Rs. 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and the Adventure version could come little pricier.
