Mahindra Marazzo With Mercedes S-Class Inspired Luxury Interiors For Just Rs. 5.25 Lakh

Mahindra Marazzo Accessories-2

DC Designs owned by designer Dilip Chhabria has partnered with Mahindra to modify Marazzo MPV into a private jetliner

While the Indian MPV is strong enough thanks to fleet operators who prefer a spacious budget 7-seater car, only a handful of vehicles actually do well in this segment, including the Toyota Innova Crysta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. To challenge the established, Mahindra launched the Marazzo MPV that is stacked in between the earlier mentioned MPVs, while offering a lot of space.

However, Mahindra Marazzo is not a luxurious offering and Dilip Chhabria, the ace designer from India wants to change this equation. Dilip Chhabria owned DC Designs have modified a Mahindra Marazzo to add the feel of a luxury private jet.

The DC Designed Marazzo gets a luxurious cabin and as per Mr. Chabria, developing a Rs 20-25 lakh car with the ambience of a Rs 1.5 crore car was the “driving force” behind the project. The modified Marazzo can be modified at Rs 5.25 lakh over the base car and the cabin can be installed on any variant. The ‘DC Designed Marazzo’ was first shown at the Marazzo’s launch in September 2018.

Mahindra has formally partnered with DC Designs for this mod-job and one can order the Marazzo with the interior package at any of the Mahindra’s dealerships across India. DC will take at least six weeks to modify the car and the manufacturer warranty remains intact since it is modified in partnership.

As for the mod-job itself, the fun lies at the second-row seating where the seats have been replaced with a set of sofa-like recliner seats that are electrically adjustable. The seat behind the front passenger seat gets a retractable footrest and a backrest that can recline 160 degrees.

The seat on the right, behind the driver’s seat (which mostly will be chauffeur drive), can also be reclined. There’s a new centre console between the two seats that houses a touch-panel to controls the seats, lighting and infotainment functions. Two Android TV-equipped 10.1-inch screens are mounted behind the front seats. There’s also a foldable table and a 7.0-litre refrigerator.

The front gets a faux leather finish and wood inserts on the steering wheel, dashboard, centre console, and door pads. The third-row seats have been re-trimmed too.
