Mahindra Marazzo accessories have also been showcased at the new MPV’s launch event and here we have all the details of them
Mahindra’s much-awaited MPV, the Marazzo, has finally launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh. At the launch event in Nashik, Mahindra showcased an accessorized version of its latest MPV. The kitted-up version carries a handful of modifications that enhance its long-distance touring capabilities.
The highlight of this accessorized version is a roof-mounted luggage carrier from Thule, which boosts the luggage carrying capacity of the vehicle. It also gets some chrome around its foglamps and airdam. Both the bumpers get a diffuser while the side profile gets sporty skirting. The MPV also gets door visors. The door handles have been given chrome accents. The cost of these accessories isn’t available at the moment. However, the customers of the new MPV will be able to purchase these at the authorized dealerships.
The new Mahindra Marazzo MPV offers the company’s patented ‘Best of both world’ architecture, which combines ladder-frame construction with a transversely mounted engine and FWD layout. The design of the new Mahindra Marazzo takes inspiration from a shark. It’s been jointly designed by Mahindra and company’s own design centre in Mumbai. The latest MPV from Mahindra has a cab-forward design and looks quite modern and upmarket.
The Marazzo is available in 7-seat and 8-seat layouts. While the 7-seat version gets captain seats in for the middle-row, the 8-seater version gets a bench seat instead. All the variants of the new MPV get an aircraft-inspired surround cool system that quickly cools the entire cabin through diffused and direct airflow. Mahindra claims that the sound level inside the cabin at idle is just 43-decibels, which makes it the quietest vehicle in its class.
The Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a new 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that offers a maximum power of 123 PS 3,500 RPM and a peak torque of 302 Nm at 1,600 RPM. The Marazzo has an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 17.6 kmpl.
All the variants of the MPV get disc brakes on all the wheels. They also offer dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, emergency call feature that alerts emergency services in an event of airbag deployment, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and reverse parking sensors. The bodyshell of the MPV is made up of 52% high-strength steel.
