Mahindra Racing has announced the third edition of its popular global crowd sourcing design competition called #DrivenByDesign by welcoming its passionate fans ‘Passioneers’. Team Principal Dilbagh Gill said that the enthusiasm of Passioneers during previous #DrivenbyDesign contests has encouraged them to give yet another opportunity to showcase design flair and creativity. It is a shame that Mahindra will be exiting Moto3 at the end of this season as the team plans to concentrate more on Formula E. It is understandable considering that electrified vehicles are need-of-the-hour and the learning on track in the premiere electric racing series can be transferred to road car use one way or the other.

Felix Rosenqvist was the star of the Berlin ePrix when he stood on top of the podium in the first of the two races scheduled for that weekend. It was Mahindra’s first ever victory in the highly competitive series as 2017 saw the team notching up ten podiums, three pole positions and two fastest laps. The M3Electro, responsible for all the glory, was designed as part of the inaugural #DrivenByDesign contest.
