Mahindra Gusto125 Scooter Launched, Price starts from Rs. 50680 (Ex-showroom, Bangalore)

Mahindra has launched the all new Gusto 125 scooter in Bangalore today with a starting price of Rs. 50680 (ex-showroom). Launched in two variants, Gusto 125 Dx and the top variant Gusto Vx these scooters will be available in Karnakata market at present, while Mahindra will soon roll out the models in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The top variant is priced at Rs. 53680 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

The new Gusto comes with a bit restyled front fascia than the Gusto 110, featuring larger side indicators with clear glass lenses. The vents are also changed, and the chrome garnishing and sharp creases look good on it with the dual tone colour scheme. The Gusto 125 is available in four different colours; Orange Rush, Bolt White, Monarch Black and Regal Red. It gets features like headlamp with halogen unit and LED elements, remote flip key with a tiny searchlight, height adjustable seat, find me lamp with blinking light, guide light. These features will be available in the top end Vx variant albeit.

Power comes from an all new 124.6 cc four stroke single cylinder air cooled engine, paired with a CVT gearbox. The engine of Gusto 125 is actually bored out version of the 110 cc M-Tec engine from the Gusto 110 with load sensing MCDI technology. The new engine churns out 8.6 bhp peak power at 7000 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque 5500 rpm. Both the 12 inch wheels get tubeless tyres, and the front wheel gets telescopic suspension and rear wheel is equipped with monoshock suspension. Braking duty is done by 130 mm drum brakes at both wheels.

The Gusto 125 will be taking on the Honda Activa 125 and newly launched Suzuki Access 125. With this new scooter Mahindra is eyeing the export market in Nepal, Srilanka and African continent as well.
