Mahindra recorded 30,221 unit sales in the month of February 2023 as against 27,536 units with a YoY growth of 9.8 per cent
Mahindra & Mahindra posted a domestic tally of 30,221 unit sales in the month of February 2023 as against 27,536 units during the same period last year with a YoY positive sales growth of 9.8 per cent. Compared to the previous month of January 2023 with 33,040 units, an MoM negative growth of 8.5 per cent was noted.
The homegrown manufacturer finished fourth in the overall sales table with a market share of 9 per cent. The ever-consistent Bolero garnered a total of 9,782 units against 11,045 units in February 2022 with a YoY volume drop of 11 per cent. The combined sales of Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic stood at 6,950 units against 2,610 units.
This led to a massive YoY surge of 166 per cent. The Mahindra Thar finished in the third position with 5,004 units as against 5,072 units in Feb 2022 with a slight YoY decline of 1 per cent. The Mahindra XUV700 was the fourth most sold model within the brand’s portfolio as 4,505 units were recorded against 4,138 units with a YoY growth of 9 per cent.

The Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV posted a total of 3,809 unit sales as against 4,511 units during the corresponding month in 2022 with a YoY drop of 16 per cent. The Mahindra Marazzo MPV recorded 171 units in February 2023 as against 147 units during the same period twelve months ago with a YoY growth of 16.32 per cent in India.
Just a while ago, Mahindra introduced the RWD variant of the Thar in India with a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It has been well received by customers. Up next, Mahindra is expected to launch the five-door version of the Thar later this calendar year and it has already been spotted testing multiple roads.
It could be offered in RWD and 4WD configurations and will sit on the modified version of the Scorpio N’s ladder frame platform. It will use 2.0L petrol and 2.2L diesel engines but the performance numbers could vary. It will be more spacious than the existing three-door Thar.
