Mahindra Electric Launches Virtual Reality Experience For e2o Plus

Mahindra will offer the VR experience to buyers in select dealerships across the country; the move is to promote e2o Plus

Mahindra Electric has taken an unique initiative to promote the all-electric hatchback e2o Plus. The company has launched virtual reality experience for the customers to promote this zero emission car. This experience will be offered to the buyers across the country in select Mahindra dealerships, where the buyers can get the experience with help of VR headset and screen.

The VR equipments will not only offer the buyers a drive experience, but a 360 degree view of the interior as well. With a heads up display, the VR kit will show various information like speed, remaining charge, trip metre and efficiency. The company has released a video showing what the viewers will experience with this VR kit.

Besides visiting dealerships, buyers can experience this with their own VR kit. All they need to do is download the app that is available for both Android and iOS users. Speaking about this initiative, Mahindra says the brand wants to promote the electric mobility across the country and this move could help the company with that.

Mahindra presently holds the pole position in the Indian EV market with its products like e2o Plus and e-Verito in the passenger vehicle segment. The automaker is also working on several other models that include electric versions of KUV100, XUV500. Apart from that, the auto major has also announced that it will launch an electric version of every SUV in future.

As India is thriving to adopt zero emission pure electric mobility across the country by 2030 under central government’s Mission EV 2030 strategy, Mahindra aims to grab a large chunk of the domestic EV market that is likely to grow significantly in next decade.

Mahindra sees the e2o Plus electric hatchback as an important step in its EV journey. The virtual reality experience is certainly expected to boost the sales of this model. With the introduction of such technology, Mahindra will be able to grab attention of young buyers.
