According to a recent leak emerged on the internet, the eco-friendly KUV will be powered by a 72 volt LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack and it produces a peak power output of 30 kW (40.2 hp). The five-seater SUV may have electric range of 120 km on a single charge and the top speed could be around 100 kmph.
The numbers look promising on paper, if at all they are true. The KUV could steer conventional buyers into EV space if it is priced rightly in the domestic market and it could harbinger a number of new electric vehicles in the near future. While its pricing will play a key role, Tata Motors seems to be already lining up electrified Tigor and Tiago to give a fiesty competition.
