We spotted a recently launched Mahindra Marazzo test drive vehicle with commercial registration number in Gurgaon
Dealerships selling test drive vehicles to customers after an extended period of usage is a common practice as these vehicles need to be in pristine condition always, as the first impression is very important during test drives.
Today we came across a Marazzo, at first it looks like a test drive vehicle as it has stickers on both sides, but then we noticed it is registered as a taxi.
Mahindra partnered with a self-driving car renting platform called Revv to provide test drives for potential customers. There is a central command team used only for giving test drives based on the online enquiries received by Mahindra and is happening in selected key cities including Delhi and Mumbai. All these cars have been purchased through REVV and having commercial plates.
The Marazzo is based on a brand new platform and employs a transverse mounted 1.5 L D15 Diesel engine making 123 PS and 300 Nm. It is front-wheel driven and is sold only with a six-speed manual transmission
Mahindra has also given lots of feature for Marazzo which include touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, aircraft-inspired roof mounted vents for 2nd and 3rd row which can direct or diffuse airflow. The design of Marazzo took inspirations from shark and the price starts at Rs. 9.99 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
