Mahindra garnered 37,270 units in the month of August 2023 as against 29,472 units with a YoY volume growth of 26.5 per cent
Mahindra & Mahindra posted a cumulative domestic tally of 37,270 units in the month of August 2023 as against 29,472 units during the same period last year with a YoY positive sales increase of 26.5 per cent. Compared to the previous month of July 2023 with 36,205 units, a MoM volume growth of 2.9 per cent was registered.
The overall market share stood at 10.3 per cent as against 9 per cent with a YoY growth of 1.3 per cent. The homegrown SUV producer finished fourth in the overall manufacturers’ sales standings behind Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata. The combined sales of Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic stood at 9,898 units as against 7,056 units.
This led to a YoY positive volume increase of 40 per cent. The Bolero MUV came in at second with a total of 9,092 units as against 8,246 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago with a YoY growth of 10 per cent. The Mahindra XUV700 finished in the third position with 6,512 unit sales as against 6,010 units.

In comparison, a YoY positive volume increase of 8 per cent was noted. The Mahindra Thar was the fourth most sold model within the brand’s portfolio as 5,951 units were registered against 3,793 units in August 2022 with a YoY sales growth of 57 per cent. The Mahindra XUV300 finished in the fifth position ahead of the XUV400 and Marazzo.
The compact SUV posted 4,992 unit sales last month as against 4,322 units during the same period last year with a YoY growth of 16 per cent. The XUV400 electric SUV ended up sixth with a total of 778 units while the Marazzo garnered a total of 47 units as against 45 units with a YoY growth of 4 per cent.
The company will introduce the five-door version of the Thar and the heavily updated XUV300 next year and recently the Scorpio N based Global Pik Up and Thar.e concepts were showcased in South Africa. The XUV.e and BE range of zero-emission vehicles are also under development.
