Jaguar F-Pace petrol model’s local assembly has commenced in India and it is sold in single variant

Jaguar officially announced that the company started assembly of F-Pace petrol model in India and it is available in a single variant – Prestige, priced at Rs. 63.17 lakh (Ex-Showroom). The local assembly of diesel model commenced in November 2017 and price starts at Rs. 63.57 lakh. The F-Pace is the sixth model from Jaguar Land Rover to be assembled in India.

The other models include – Jaguar XE, CF, XJ, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. The F-Pace petrol model is powered by 2.0 L Ingenium series engine producing 247 bhp of power at 5,700 rpm and 365 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm. The power is sent to all wheels via 8 speed automatic gearbox.

The SUV offers punchy performance as 0-100 kph come up in just 7 sec and top speed is 217 kph. The exterior design of F-Pace is really attractive as it gets swept back LED headlamps with a big black-finished grille with the Jaguar logo in the middle. The sporty design continues to the side also.

The rear is the most attractive part as the LED tail lamp design is similar to F-Type. Overall, the exterior design is sporty and aggressive. The interior design is similar to other Jaguar cars and the quality of materials is top notch. The three spoke multi-function steering wheel and digital instrument cluster gives a premium feel.

The F-Pace is loaded with features like 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system but it misses out connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual zone climate control, sunroof, leather seats, 360-degree parking sensors, Park Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver condition monitor, Wi-Fi Hotspot & Pro Services.

The 2019 MY F-Pace comes with some new features like illuminated metal treadplates, chrome switches for the 10-way seats, suede cloth headliner, bright metal pedals and more. The company is offering eight exterior colour options for F-Pace in India and it is going to compete against Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q5 and Lexus NX.
