Lynk & Co received 6,000 pre-booking orders for the 01 SUV in less than 3 minutes; offered in China from $24,000
When China’s Geely and Sweden’s Volvo partnered to form the all-new car brand Lynk & Co, no one believed it would produce a car that will become the fastest selling vehicle in the world. Yes, you read it right. Lynk & Co’s 01 SUV has fetched record breaking 6,000 pre-booking in less than 3 minutes, to be precise in just 137 seconds.
The SUV that is being dubbed as smartphone on wheels come priced from $24,000 for the base model in China, while the top variant is priced at $30,600. Available in total four variants, the 01 SUV promises to be an unique model from a different kind of car brand that focuses on simplified buying experience and connected technologies.

The Lynk & Co 01 SUV is being sold across China through 150 dedicated brand stores and boutiques. A very unique feature of this car is the share button. This allows the owner to physically trigger a shareable digital key that he or she can offer to others to let them borrow the car and use it as a revenue generator.
Apart from a compact and suave, stylish exterior design, the Lynk & Co 01 SUV sports a premium interior in line with modern Volvo models. It gets a large central touchscreen infotainment system with wide range of connectivity options and services. Apart from China, the company will also sell this SUV in European markets.

While the Chinese market-spec model will draw energy from Volvo sourced petrol engines, the European market-spec models will run powered by all-electric powertrains as standard. Lynk & Co has developed a wide range of in car apps for this model and it is also offering all-time internet and cloud connectivity for the model. No wonder, the Volvo-Geely JV company has developed a truly unique futuristic car. The initial response is pretty impressive as well.
