With CBU unit of Mercedes-Maybach S 600, Locally produced Mercedes-Maybach S 500 also launched with 4.7-litre V8 engine
Mercedes-Benz India with the launch of these two super luxury sedan’s “S 600 and S 500”, marks the re-entry of sub-brand “Maybach” in India. Imported through CKD route and assembled at Mercedes-Benz Chakan plant, the first Mercedes-Maybach S 500 rolled out by the Mercedes-Benz India’s new MD & CEO ‘MR. Roland Folger‘ in the presence of current MD & CEO ‘Mr.Eberhard Kern‘.
Mercedes-Maybach S 500 local assembling helped MBIL in reducing the Ex-showroom price by good margin. The S500 and S350 have already been localized and are priced quite well. The S600 and S500 Maybach versions are also here to give customers a lot of options. The S500 and S600 difference are in primarily in the engine as the S600 gets V12 Bi-turbo engine and on the other hand come, the S500 comes with a 4.7-litre bi-turbo V8 engine which produces 455 BHP of power and 700 Nm of torque. Both Super luxury sedans do 0-100 km/hr in 5 seconds flat.
Maybach S 500 boasts of a tonne in safety featuring front, side, curtain and thorax airbags, seatbelt airbags and seat cushion airbags for rear seat passengers and much more. It also comes with magic body control and ‘Designo’ customization option, magic vision control, magic sky control, airmatic suspension, 24 speaker Burmester 3D surround system, split view, night vision assist and chauffeur package. The Maybach versions are the “World’s Quietest Production Sedan’s” when it comes rear cabin noise.
