Lexus LX 570 Superior is sold in the Russian market with an aggressive sporty body kit elevating the vehicle’s road presence
A few days after the first set of pictures leaked online showing the newest version of the Lexus LX assigned for some Asian markets, the luxury brand of Toyota is expanding its reach to other countries as well in one way or the other. There are different names for it in different markets and it might confuse you a little bit.
Christened as the LX 570 S around GCC region or LX 570 Superior in Russia, it looks sporty with aggressive mesh for the front grille, bold bumpers and side sills as well as multi-spoke alloy wheels. According to a report surfaced on the web, these upgrades will be available as TRD (Toyota Racing Department) kit in Japan.
But the kit will have regular chrome grille instead of the black surround in the Superior trim. It is unsure whether the new trim level will be made available for the American markets or elsewhere apart from the possibility that it could be bought in as import body kit by interested owners from Japan. The special version does not have a spurred up interior to back up the exterior as only little changes are made.
It comes equipped with aluminium sport pedals while there are no powertrain changes being deployed. The LX 570 Superior gets power from the 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine which is good enough to produce a maximum power output of 367 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 530 Nm of peak torque at 3,200 rpm. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
Lexus India opened its fourth showroom in Bengaluru recently and it currently sells the RX450H hybrid SUV, LX 450d and ES 300H hybrid Sedan. Priced at around Rs. 2.15 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the LX450d is powered by a 4.5-litre diesel engine that makes 261 bhp and 650 Nm torque.
