Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept has been unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show; production model will challenge Audi Q7 and Mercedes GLS
Lexus unveiled its LF-1 Limitless concept at the Detroit Motor Show and now the Toyota owned luxury car brand is gearing up to make its production version. Lexus management has cleared their excitement about this car and they want it to be entered production in near future. Upon launch, the production version of Lexus LF-1 Limitless concept will lock horns with rivals like Audi Q7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
Lexus presently has luxury SUVs like NX and RX in its portfolio, but the brand doesn’t have a model that would compete with Audi Q7 and Mercedes GLS. Bringing the concept version of LF-1 Limitless concept will fill that void for sure. As Lexus says, this model could be a huge addition for the company.

The company also emphasises on the need for the vehicle to boost its sales in global market, where other luxury car manufacturers are fetching impressive sales result. This is not the first time that Lexus has expressed its desire to become a strong competitor against the rivals like Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Volvo. Adding the LF-1 Limitless concept derived production model will surely strengthen the brand’s appearance in the global SUV market.
Considering the fact that Lexus is eyeing to grab a good chunk in Indian luxury car market, we can expect it to bring the LF-1 Limitless concept inspired SUV in domestic market as well. However, the auto manufacturer has not revealed any timeline when it will launch the SUV, but we can expect it to arrive sometime next year or in 2020.

Speaking about the car, we can expect it to carry design elements of the concept version. In that case, it will get a large X shaped front grille that is the signature styling element of Lexus. Also, there will be sharp LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Apart from that, there will be sharp character lines, large alloy wheels, LED taillights.
Not only exterior, inside the cabin too the car will carry epitome of luxury and wide range of high end premium features along with advanced technologies as well. Also, we may see the brand offering semi-autonomous driving tech with this car.
