After three long years of wait, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) introduced the iconic Jeep brand for the Indian market. The luxury and off-roading focused SUV brand debuted at the 2016 Auto Expo and now forays into domestic scenes with Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee SRT and Wrangler Unlimited. The company will initially commence dealership operations in Delhi and Ahmedabad before expanding to ten in the coming months. The Grand Cherokee is expected to sell in good numbers and will be brought into the country via CBU route as for now. FCA previously announced plans to invest around $280 million locally alongside expanding the Ranjangaon manufacturing plant near Pune for assembling Jeep models.
