The upcoming fully faired motorcycle from CF Moto will be based on the 250SR concept that was showcased in May, to rival Apache RR310, KTM RC390
It is not an unknown fact anymore that the Chinese bike maker CF Moto will be launching a total of 4 new motorcycles this month. The company also has plans to launch a fully faired sportsbike to compete with the KTM RC 390 in India next year. The upcoming bike will be based on the concept CF Moto 250 SR which was unveiled by the Chinese bike maker early this year.
The quarter-litre concept motorcycle looked sleek and sporty and also featured an Akrapovic exhaust and slick tyres. There is a possibility that CF Moto will launch the motorcycle in the Indian market with a slightly bigger 300cc engine. The upcoming fully faired bike will be powered by the same 292.4 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that also powers the 300 NK naked streetfighter that will be launched in India in July 2019.
The unit paired with a 6-speed gearbox produces about 34 PS of peak power and 20.5 Nm of peak torque. Hopefully, the fully faired motorcycle will also be offered with the same engine tuning but it will get two additional riding modes. The upcoming sports bike will share most of its components with the 300NK streetfighter.
The motorcycle will most probably get upside down suspension setup towards the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Besides the suspension setup, the motorcycle will also share the same TFT display and braking hardware with the 300NK. The concept motorcycle featured a radially mounted 4-pot calliper by Brembo and there is a possibility that the production variant of the motorcycle will also feature the same Brembo braking setup as well.
The CF Moto 300SR will also get a steel trellis frame and an aluminium swingarm unit. However, expect the production variant of the fully faired motorcycle to get a standard factory exhaust unit instead of the Akrapovic exhaust setup while the carbon fibre fuel tank will also be replaced with a standard fuel tank to keep the prices competitive.
The upcoming motorcycle will rival directly against the likes of the KTM RC390 and the TVS Apache RR310 when launched in India next year.
