Kia SP SUV Concept production model is likely to be revealed on June 20 and it will be powered by newly developed 1.5 L diesel and petrol engines

Kia is going to reveal the production version of SP Concept on June 20. The SP SUV Concept made its global debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and SP Signature Concept revealed at 2019 Seoul Motor Show is a preview of the production version as it carries forward most of the design theme from the original SP Concept.

The compact SUV is expected to be named as Trailster as the company has already conducted a poll last year to finalise the name. The market launch of SP Concept is likely to take place in the coming months and it will be priced similar to the Hyundai Creta as both models share lots of components, which will help the company to price the model aggressively.

The production model of SP Concept comes with the signature grille of Kia along with LED headlamps with integrated day time running LEDs lamp in it. The fog lamps are vertically placed and they will be LEDs too.

Kia has given faux skid plates at the front and back to continue the SUV theme. The lower part of the bumper is finished in black colour. The production model is expected to come with 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels instead of the 19-inch on concept model and a conventional mirror while the door handles will be pull-type.

The rear gets LED tail lamps along with a new bumper and an integrated spoiler. Kia is likely to offer a dual-tone colour theme for the SP Concept as it is so popular among customers in this segment. The interior continues the modern design theme of other Kia models as the quality of materials will be really good.

The SUV will be packed with segment features along with 360-degree parking camera, ventilated front seats, head-up display, ambient lighting, fully digital instrument cluster, leather seats, touch screen infotainment system and more. The engine options include newly developed 1.5 L diesel and petrol with manual and auto gearbox.
