Kia To Display Small SUV Concept At Auto Expo 2018

Kia mini SUV concept could spawn out a Hyundai Creta rival and the production model will likely be launched in 2019

Kia is all set to make its grand appearance at the 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo. One of the major attractions from the Hyundai owned South Korean brand at the event will be an all-new small SUV concept specially focusing the Indian market. Name of this mini SUV concept is yet to be disclosed by the automaker, but it could spawn out a Hyundai Creta rival and the production model will be launched in 2019.

Kia’s small SUV concept will certainly bear an eye-catching styling that will be in line with the brand’s latest crop of models available in global market. If reports are to be believed, this mini SUV will be among the models ready to be launched in the initial phase by the Korean auto major.

Now that we are eagerly waiting to see the concept model, it can be assumed the concept will be inspired by the Kia Stonic. In that case, we can hope the production version of this small SUV will arrive with inspiration from the Kia Stonic.

Apart from the Hyundai Creta Kia’s new small SUV will also challenge the Nissan Kicks that is yet to be launched in India. Despite being a small SUV, the upcoming model will surely carry several interesting and upmarket features in order to become appealing to the buyers. Also, it would ensure ample space and comfort for the occupants.

Expect the upcoming mini SUV from Kia to be available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Both the petrol and diesel engine options would kick out generous amount of power and torque output along with impressive mileage as well. On transmission front, it will surely get both manual and automatic gearbox options.

Considering the fact that Kia is focusing on localisation of product manufacturing, this small SUV will surely be priced aggressively in order to garner attention of the buyers. Alongside the domestic market, Kia could consider to export the car to global markets as well.
