Indian-Bound Kia SP SUV spotted completely undisguised during the TVC shoot and carries Seltos nameplate, India unveiling on 20th June

Kia is all set to unveil the production variant of the SP2i SUV on 20th June 2019 in India and ahead of that, the upcoming SUV has been spied completely undisguised. The brand’s first car in India to be sold with the Seltos nameplate.

Kia Seltos, which is the production version of the SP Concept that debuted at the 2018 Auto Expo, will be a global product that will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the newly launched Tata Harrier along with upcoming MG Hector.

While we are not exactly sure at this moment, Kia will likely price their upcoming SUV in the Rs 10-16 lakh range. The petrol variant of the Kia Seltos will be powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged unit, while a refined 1.5 Litre motor will perform its duty under the hood of the diesel version. Kia will also offer both manual and automatic transmission options with the SUV and 4WD variant could be also offered in limited variants.

As you can clearly see in these images, the front profile of the Kia Seltos features the company’s signature tiger-nose grille. It also gets a sharp looking pair of all-LED headlamps and vertically positioned fog lamps on the lower bumper area.

At the side, the SUV gets a brushed aluminium shoulder line and roof rails. The latest images of the Kia Seltos show an all-wheel-drive variant but we are not exactly sure whether Kia will offer this version in the Indian market.

Unfortunately, there are no spy images of the interior of the SUV available yet but expect it to feature a well-designed dashboard with a large infotainment screen occupying a large central position as shown in the official teaser.

You can also expect the India-spec SUV to feature a piano black finish around its instrument cluster. Although we cannot confirm from these images but the Kia Seltos could be larger in proportion than the Hyundai Creta, which also means that it can offer more interior legroom for the rear passengers than its closest rival.
