The 2018 Consumer Electronics Show has shaped up to be a grand stage of innovation and Kia has made its presence felt in more ways than one. It has unveiled its brand new Niro EV concept which is designed to denote the South Korean brand’s next level of ongoing electrification venture. Created by Kia’s design studio in its home country, the Niro EV concept comprises of more futuristic design than the actual road-going Niro.
The exterior modifications are indeed pronounced as the main highlight being the exclusion of the front grille for engine cooling purposes. In its place, a handy interactive display panel has come onboard and it shows greeting messages. Kia has opted for a brand new set of headlamps, reworked rear fascia as well as a bold front bumper design. The rear-end is revised to help channel the air flow more easily.

Other significant interior features are a quirky shifter, infotainment system, digital instrument cluster and the much-talked-about Human Machine Interface (HMI). It allows drivers to log-in using facial and voice recognition tech and as soon it recognises a driver, it will adjust to a driving setting programmed previously by them if any.

It will include five new hybrids and plug-in hybrids, five new battery EVs and an all-new mass market FCEV. We can safely assume that a few of these vehicles will surely make their way into India in the near future.
