Kawasaki recently launched its entry-level adventure tourer, the Versys X 300, at a rather steep price than what the enthusiasts would have wanted. However, the Japanese brand had become the first-mover among premium bike makers to step into the adventure motorcycle space, which is tipped to have large growth potential in the years to come.
In a bit to make its compelling presence in other segments, Kawasaki revealed a teaser of its middleweight cruiser, the Vulcan S in its official web portal in India just a week ago and now its pricing has been announced. Unlike the Versys X 300, the Vulcan S is indeed priced competitively at Rs. 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Bookings have opened across domestic showrooms and it will make public debut at the Auto Expo in early February.

The powertrain is coupled with a six-speed transmission with positive neutral finder. The middleweight cruiser is sprung on a 41 mm telescopic front fork and an offset rear monoshock unit which can be adjusted for pre load. Constructed on a diamond tyre lightweight frame , the Kawasaki Vulcan S is shod on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres. Braking power is extracted from a 300 mm front disc and a 250 mm rear disc with ABS as standard fitment.
