The retro styled motorcycle will be launched in two variants including a special edition

The retro styled Kawasaki Estrella 175 is all set for its Indonesia launch in the second half of this year. Earlier in June, there have been reports suggesting that the bike is under development but the specific launch timeline was never confirmed. The Estrella 175 got spotted testing in Indonesia this month for the first time.

According to recent reports, Kawasaki will launch the Estrella 175 in two variants viz the standard and the special edition. As per dealers in Indonesia, the said motorcycle will enter the market sometime in the month of November.

Coming to the visuals, the Kawasaki Estrella 175 looks almost identical to its elder sibling – the Estrella 250. There are several elements in the motorcycle that offer it a Triumph Bonneville kind of a look. For instance, the rounded headlamp, spoke wheels, single piece seat and pea shooter exhaust, all give the Estrella 175 a pure retro classic appeal.

Talking of powertrain, the Kawasaki Estrella 175 gets its power from a 175cc, single cylinder, two valve, DOHC engine. The power and torque figures are a mystery at the moment. For reference, the mill in the Estrella 250 develops respective power and torque outputs of 18 bhp and 18 Nm.

The Kawasaki Estrella 175 has been fitted with conventional telescopic forks up front along with twin spring shock absorbers for the rear. The braking power to the bike is delivered with the help of a disc brake up front along with a drum unit at the rear.

The Estrella 250 is available for sale at a price of IDR 72,600,000 or Rs. 3.52 lakh. So, expect the smaller Estrella 175 to come at a significantly lower price than the latter. The India launch of this motorcycle is very unlikely due to the presence of a highly price sensitive market.
