Just Ahead Of Venue’s Launch, New TVC Of Maruti Vitara Brezza Out!

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Review25

With new rivals coming in thick and fast, Maruti Suzuki has kick-started a new TVC campaign for the Vitara Brezza

In the light of the arrival of new compact SUVs, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has put out a new TVC campaign for its segment-leading Vitara Brezza. The series of commercials come under the “wickedly smooth” theme as Maruti Suzuki aims to expand the reach of the sub-four-metre SUV further.

Currently, the Vitara Brezza is priced between Rs. 7.67 lakh for the entry-level variant and it goes up to Rs. 10.64 lakh for the range-topping ZDi dual-tone AMT (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki introduced the Vitara Brezza back in 2016 at the Auto Expo and it quickly rose through the ranks to beat Ford EcoSport in sales charts in its segment.

With the popularity increasing, the Vitara Brezza started setting new records and it averages well over 13,000 units monthly. Tata Motors’ Nexon arrived in September 2017 and it averages around 5,000 units monthly while the latest entrant into the segment, the Mahindra XUV300, has already beaten Ford EcoSport and Honda WR-V in its opening couple of months.

The Vitara Brezza is getting a brand new rival in the form of Hyundai Venue. Slated to launch on May 21, the Venue fills a big void for Hyundai as both brands compete in almost every popular volume-bearing car space barring the sub-four-metre SUV segment. The Venue has plenty of tricks up its sleeves as Hyundai targets close to 9,000 unit sales per month in its first year.

The monocoque SUV has advanced high strength steel construction and it takes design inspiration from the global SUVs like Santa Fe and Kona. The split headlamp unit with turn signals on top, projector headlamps in the middle surrounded by LED DRLs, a prominent cascading front grille, LED tail lamps with unique graphics, edgier body panels and tall pillars are some of its design highlights.

The Venue offers quite a number of segment-first features including embedded SIM card enabling Blue Link technology with 33 connective features. It is powered by a 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol making 120 PS and 172 Nm, 1.2-litre MPI petrol developing 83 PS and a 1.4-litre diesel kicking out 90 PS and 220 Nm. The first-in-segment seven-speed DCT auto will be offered only in the turbo petrol engine.
