Except for the top-selling Innova Crysta and Fortuner, Toyota offers discounts of up to Rs. 1.44 lakh in the month of July
Toyota Kirloskar Motor ended up June 2019 in the fifth position with 19 per cent YoY de-growth. The unfavourable market scenario led to Toyota selling just 10,603 units last month as against 13,088 during the same month in 2018. The Japanese manufacturer is offering a range of discounts in its Indian portfolio to attract buyers.
The Bengaluru-based company is providing discounts across its entire range except for the Fortuner and Innova Crysta which dominate their respective segments with ease every month. The Glanza, rebadged Baleno, has been enduring decent sales since its market debut and it is retailed with Rs. 5,000 cash discount and Rs. 15,000 exchange bonus.
Toyota’s entry-level product in India, the Liva hatchback, can be had with a cash discount of Rs. 10,000 while the Etios sedan gets Rs. 15,000 cash discount. The Cross version of the Etios, on the other hand, sees Rs. 20,000 cash discount this month. All three models do not have any exchange bonus scheme.

It must be noted that the 2018 Model Year Yaris is sold with massive cash discount depending on the variants and it ranges between Rs. 53,000 and Rs. 1.24 lakh. The exchange bonus for the C-segment sedan stands at Rs. 20,000. The Yaris launched in April 2018 has not been well-received among customers and thus the 2018MY sees hefty offers.
The 2019 Toyota Yaris witnesses Rs. 30,000 cash discount and Rs. 10,000 exchange bonus. In the last financial year, the Corolla Altis finished on top of the sales charts in its D-segment comfortably. However, the arrival of Honda Civic has proved to be challenging for the executive sedan.
It can be bought with Rs. 90,000 cash discount and Rs. 20,000 exchange bonus in July 2019. The 2018 version of the Corolla Altis faces a huge cash discount of Rs. 1.20 lakh and exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000. The cash discounts can be utilised as subvention financial offers with low rate of interest as well.
