Mahindra offers discounts across the entire domestic portfolio barring the successfully running XUV300 and Alturas G4
Mahindra & Mahindra was the only carmaker last month to post positive sales growth in India as 18,826 units were sold in June 2019 as against 15,942 units during the same time in 2018. The recently launched XUV300 would have been a major highlight in gathering volumes.
To sustain the YoY sales surge, Mahindra is offering a number of discounts across its domestic range. The entry-level KUV100 did not create a sparkle in sales despite being the first entrant into the micro SUV segment in January 2016 and it is being offered with a cash discount of Rs. 35,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 29,000 this month.
The TUV300, on the other hand, gets the highest cash discount within Mahindra’s portfolio in July 2019 at Rs. 58,000 along with free accessories worth Rs. 5,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 15,000. The Bolero Power Plus variant is sold with Rs. 15,000 cash discount and Rs. 10,000 exchange bonus for this month.

While the Marazzo MPV sees the highest exchange bonus of Rs. 40,000 among all the models, it does not come with cash discount and instead free insurance is provided by the homegrown manufacturer. The XUV500 is retailed with free accessories worth Rs. 10,000 and exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000.
The long-running Scorpio faces Rs. 35,000 cash discount and free accessories worth Rs. 10,000 and the ABS variant of the Thar off-roader gains Rs. 9,000 cash discount – both without any exchange bonus. The upcoming fourth-generation Scorpio and second-generation Thar are expected to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo before going on sale.
The XUV300 and Alturas G4 do not come under any discount schemes. The former, launched in mid-February 2019, is another attempt from Mahindra at the highly competitive sub-four-metre SUV segment. The monocoque SUV has averaged more than 4,500 units thus far every month.
