Jeep Compass Trailhawk gets active drive low range four wheel drive system which comes with rock mode, crawl model and hill decent control
Jeep India’s fortunes turned with the arrival of Compass. The premium SUV has been selling really well and the demand is increasing. The company has expanded the variants of Compass with new petrol model joined the lineup earlier this year. Now they are planning to introduce Compass Trailhawk variant in India which is focused towards off-roading.
The Compass Trailhawk has been spied undisguised in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The prototypes were also accompanied by regular Compass models which come with four wheel drive system. We can expect Jeep to introduce four wheel drive option on regular model soon after the launch of Trailhawk. The company has already started production of this variant in India.

Jeep has made so many changes for the Trailhawk which starts with new front and rear bumper to improve approach, breakover and departure angle for better off-roading. The regular alloy wheels has been replaced with new dual tone 17 inch wheels. The Compass Trailhawk also comes with dual tone body colours and skid plates at front and rear along with tow hooks to further improve off-roading.
The interior get all black finish for a sporty feel and dashboard with red stitching. The Trailhawk name has been embedded in seats and dashboard. We can expect Jeep to give updated premium 8 inch touch screen with Android Auto and Apple Carplay and sunroof which is one of the missing features in regular model of Compass.

The American manufacturer has also given all weather mats as the attention to detail they have given for the Trailhawk model is awesome.
The Trailhawk is powered by 2.0 L diesel engine producing 170 hp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Finally Jeep is offering the much awaited 9 speed automatic gearbox and it is expected to deliver 13 kmpl. The Compass Trailhawk model will be priced at a premium compared to regular models as it get four wheel drive system and new automatic gearbox.
