Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition Is Deceptively Handsome

Jeep to launch Compass Night Eagle Edition in Brazil with loads of cosmetic updates; India launch unconfirmed

Jeep has revealed a special edition model for its popular Compass SUV. Christened as Night Eagle Edition, the car is designed focusing the Brazilian market only. It is not sure, if Jeep India will launch it here. But, we will surely love to see the jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition being rolled out in our country.

Speaking about the special edition model, the SUV sports several cosmetic upgrades at exterior and inside the cabin as well. Based on the Longitude trim, it wears a glossy black paint scheme that enhances the SUV’s visual appeal further. It received 18-inch alloy wheels with glossy black finish. Apart from that, the automatic xenon headlamps, glossy black finished front grille, fog lamp bezels and Jeep logo make it distinctive compared to the regular Compass SUV.

Inside the cabin too, Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition sports an all-black theme increasing its sportiness. However, the options here are a solid ‘Shadow’ Black or a metallic ‘Carbon’ Black finish. Additional features inside the cabin of this special edition Jeep Compass SUV include a premium Beat sound system incorporating nine speakers and a sub-woofer.

Other features include an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, electrochromic rear-view mirror, rain sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, premium leather wrapped seats etc. It is available in both petrol-ethanol and diesel engine options.

Petrol variant gets a 2.0-litre Tigershark petrol-ethanol engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This engine is capable of churning out 166 hp of peak power. There is a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is capable of kicking out 170 hp of peak power. The petrol variant is available with a 2WD system, while the diesel model comes with Jeep Selec-Terrain AWD system. As Jeep has already earned positive response in India with the Compass SUV, it would be great to see the Night Eagle Edition making its way into the domestic space.
