13 Jawa Motorcycles have been auctioned in a fund-raiser event to donate the proceeds to the Armed Forces Flag Day Foundation
Jawa Motorcycles held a fund-raiser event in Mumbai today. The proceeds, which amount to over Rs 1.43 crore, will be donated to the Armed Forces Flag Day Foundation in a bid to honour the country’s forces, who remain on their toes to keep the entire country safe and secured.
The fund-raiser event from Jawa Motorcycles saw the auctioning of 13 bespoke bikes that have been named Jawa Signature Edition. The participants of the bidding placed bid on the chassis number of their liking. The bidding took place at the event venue as well as online.
The company managed to sell all the 13 special Jawa motorcycle. The Signature Edition model that fetched the highest price is unsurprisingly the chassis no. 0001, which was sold for a whopping Rs 45 lakh. The lowest price was fetched for the chassis no. 0007, which was sold for Rs 5 lakh.
The special Jawa Signature Edition motorcycle is based on the Jawa std and Jawa 42. The winning bidders can choose to spec up their motorcycle as per their liking. The selling price of each motorcycle includes registration charges and insurance. The bespoke motorcycles will be delivered to the bid winners by the authorized Jawa dealership of their choice. The bidders will have to pay in full within 7 days to be eligible to acquire the motorcycle.
The Jawa motorcycles that have been sold in the fund-raiser will have the Indian Tricolour on their fuel tank and a special monogram on the fuel tank that will display the owner’s name. The owners of the Jawa Signature Edition motorcycles will also enjoy some special privileges. They will be invited to all Jawa events and will be entitled to all the promotional offers.
The owners of these special Jawa Motorcycles will even receive a copy of The Forever Bike book that offers an insight into the company’s legacy. The owners will even benefit from a special service package for 3.5 years.
