Jawa to commence deliveries by the end of next month with single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS models are expected to be available after June 2019
Jawa officially announced its re-entry on November 15th and the company commenced bookings for Forty Two and Jawa Classic on the same day. The response was really high and they had to stop bookings on December 25th as the motorcycles were sold out till September. The company is planning to open more than 105 dealerships in the initial phase.
The deliveries of Jawa Motorcycles are expected to begin by the end of next month as the company has already announced that dual-channel ABS with double disc models will be available after June 2019. Jawa received lots of criticism for the lack of dual-channel ABS earlier as initial media reviews also pointed out the same.
The double-disc dual-channel ABS variant is priced at a premium of Rs. 8,942 over the regular model. The company also announced the exchange program with Mahindra First Choice Wheels. Jawa has also partnered with various banks to offer class-leading finance schemes, which will make it easier for customers to own the bike.
The dealerships of Jawa follow the retro-theme as it has worked well for the Royal Enfield also as the Classic series is going to be the main competitor for Forty Two and Jawa Classic and they are powered by 293 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine producing 27 bhp of power and 28 Nm of peak torque, mated to 6-speed gearbox.
This new engine has tuned for the mid-range performance as these motorcycles will be used mostly for touring purpose. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual suspension at the rear, which is tuned for comfort.
