Isuzu’s four cars on offer in India will be pricier by Rs. 15,000-Rs. 1 lakh from January 1, 2018
Isuzu is gearing up to increase pricing of its offerings in India from 1st January, 2018. The automaker currently sells four vehicles in the domestic market that are MU-X premium SUV, D-Max V-Cross pickup truck, D-Max single cab pickup truck and D-Max regular twin-cab pickup truck. All these vehicles will be pricier and the price hike is expected to be between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 1 lakh on ex-showroom.
The Isuzu MU-X premium SUV is expected to see the biggest price hike. Currently, this SUV is priced between Rs. 23.84 lakh and Rs. 25.80 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Every automaker in the country revises the pricing of entire portfolio at the beginning of the year for the new model year and Isuzu too is following the same trend.
Just a few days ago, we reported about Skoda’s plan to increase the pricing of its entire portfolio in the domestic market from January 1, 2018 and Isuzu becomes the second auto major to follow the same path. Other automakers present in the country market too are expected to revise the pricing of their products soon.
Meanwhile, Isuzu is expected to launch the D-Max Spark in India in coming months. A test mule of the single-cab variant of the adventure pickup truck has been already spied in the country. While the brand is tight lipped about its launch, we assume, it will replace the regular single-cab variant in the domestic market upon arrival. It could be displayed at the upcoming 2018 New Delhi Auto Expo in February next year.
Speaking about the Isuzu D-Max Spark, it features a muscular front fascia similar to the D-Max V-Cross. The radiator grille comes with a black tone and front bumper too wears chunky black look. It gets large headlamps but lacks projector unit or integrated LED daytime running lights. Apart from that, it gets flared wheel arches, large wheels.
