Isuzu D Max X Series is propelled by a 4JJI-TC (HI) 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine; kicks out 163 PS maximum power

Isuzu has unveiled the D-Max X-Series which is the sportier and more adventurous version of the regular pickup truck. In the Philippines market, the utility vehicle is available in two variants as the LS MT and LS AT priced at Php 12.60 lakh (Rs. 17 lakh) and Php 13.30 lakh (Rs. 18 lakh) respectively.

The X-Series variant is based on the 2017 Isuzu D-Max that was launched in September last year. It appears with additional exterior and interior features that make it rugged and sporty looking. The sharp projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new bold gun metal radiator grille and a new bumper skirt with red stripes surely increase the masculine appeal of the D-Max X-Series.

Power source for the bold and muscular looking pickup is a 3.0-litre 4JJI-TC (HI) turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that is well capable of churning out 163 PS of peak power at 3,200 rpm and 380 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 rpm and 2,200 rpm. Transmission options include a 5 speed manual gearbox and a 5 speed automatic unit also.

Isuzu has launched the D-Max V-Cross in India last year and it is the first adventure utility vehicle of the country. The company plans to expand its business and portfolio in the domestic market. We hope the company brings the D-Max X-Series in the country in near future as it will have tremendous road presence.
