Soon after Kawasaki teased the upcoming W175 bike in India, the brochure with the specifications of this new compact Kawasaki bike got leaked online. The new Kawasaki W175 will take on the rivals like the new TVS Ronin and the Royal Enfield Hunter.

To start with, the new Kawasaki W175 will be powered by a 177 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine. This engine is likely to boast a peak power and torque output of 13 PS and 13.2 Nm respectively. A five-speed manual gearbox will be offered with this bike. Unlike the Indonesian-spec bike, the Indian-spec version will be offered with fuel injection. For those wondering, the Indo-spec version gets a carbureted setup.

Furthermore, the new India-spec Kawasaki W175 measures 2006 mm in length, 802 mm in width, and 1052 mm in height. The wheelbase however is measured at 1320 mm while the ground clearance is likely to be 165 mm. The new W175 will also have a maximum fuel capacity of 12 litres.

As per the leaked brochure, the new Kawasaki W175 will ride on 80/100-R17 tyres at the front and 100/90-R17 tyres at the rear. The braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The front wheels will get a single 270mm petal-style disc with a twin-piston setup.

The new Kawasaki W175 will also boast a lightweight design along with a compact footprint and will only weigh 135 kg. The front of the bike is expected to feature a plain, retro-styled look that will be complemented by round headlamps, large metal mudguards, and fork gaiters for the front telescopic suspension. The fuel tank will also offer a clean design while the single-seat setup will further help in giving the bike an elegant look.

With an expected starting price of Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Kawasaki W175 will be Kawasaki’s most affordable bike in the Indian market and will challenge the rivals like the new TVS Ronin and the new Royal Enfield Hunter.
