BMW is said to have set the price of the much awaited BMW G310R at £ 4,290 which includes the export duties. Since it will be made in Hosur by TVS, the expected price for BMW G310R in India is around Rs. 1.8 lakh. This price is way lesser than its rival, KTM Duke which is sold at nearly Rs. 2.15 lakh in India. In Germany, the BMW bike is said to have a cost of around Euro 4,750.
The BMW G310R is developed in Munich but will be manufactured by TVS in India and it is the first BMW bike in sub-500cc roadster category. The powertrain of BMW G310R is a 313cc engine with four valves and two overhead camshafts. It has a backward tilted cylinder with an open-deck design.
The new and upcoming BMW G310R will use 300mm disc brakes at the front wheel and 240mm disc brakes with floating caliper at the rear wheel. It will feature a 2channel ABS which will be a standard like on most of the other BMW Motorrad bikes. The front tyres on the bike will be 110/70 R17 Michelin and rear tyres will be 150/60 R17.
